Why see a Registered Dietitian (RD)?:
RD’s are licensed food and nutrition experts. They hold liability insurance to practice in Canada, have a minimum of 6 years of nutrition science education from a University and accredited hospital internship program, and practice based on evidence-based research.
RD’s have a complete knowledge of the physiology of the body. Kiran looks at the human body with a holistic approach and works in conjunction with your current daily routines of life whether you’re training as an athlete or just simply wanting to live a healthier lifestyle.
Finally, RD’s are usually covered under most employee benefit programs as opposed to “nutritionists” who are not covered under benefit programs as they are also not insured/licensed health care practitioners.
